Company history
In 1971 in Azé (West of France), Edouard Gohier founded with his wife the company SODISTRA (Insulation and stratification company). Here in a plant measuring 700 square meters he took up the production of the first composite equipements : sandwich panels, airduct, pontoons...
In 1985, SODISTRA employed a staff of 12 people. In 1990, Air-handling units in composite materials were developed and added to the manufacturing programme.
In 1990, Philippe Gohier took over the company. He extended the product range. A new plant is built in Château-Gontier (West of France), then enlarged successively in 1994, in 2000, and in 2002. He indeed allowed to pass gradually into an industrialization process.
SODISTRA is today the first European manufacturer of Air-handlig units in composite materials.
